As tempting as posting cute Instagram food photos may be, posting a flaunting photo of self always triumphs for Bengali women. Hence, what’s better than tucking in the tummy while posing is actually getting rid of all of it. A little mindfulness here and there, even in a busy schedule, can make it possible!

First Thing, First

Stay hydrated. Right after you wake up, if you grab a glass of water or two, your organs will thank you! To make it even better, try warm water with lemon and honey. It is not just good for the health but the fancy vibe will also lift your mood. No matter how busy the schedule is, it is always a good idea to carry a 500ml water bottle. When you are making it a point to stay hydrated all day, you are one step ahead in energy and ruling out over-eating! Make that habit of drinking water up to 3-5 liters a day and BOOM! You have reached the mastery level of self-care!

Be Deshi A Little Less

Two minutes after we were born, we fell in love. Our first and forever love may be rice as ingrained by Bengali culture and traditions, but it eventually gets us nowhere! Avoid white rice, white bread, biriyani, khichuri and the whole village of that gourmet food! LET GO OF THE CARBS. Save them and sugar both for the festivities while you develop a habit of eating healthy in 5-6 small portions a day. Let those portions be of greens, good fats like nuts, whole grain, and protein. Why just blame the deshi blood? Please avoid restaurants too!

Sweat It Out

If you can keep a strict watch on your food habits, a daily work out of 30 minutes is enough to keep you in shape and glowing. If you can start your day with a yoga routine or a morning walk, you are not just starting the day guaranteeing it of joy but the dopamine will actually make you thrive all day! Some health enthusiasts even go to the gym in the first hour for it is a myth that you cannot do weight lifting and break a sweat effectively right after waking up! For others, evening workout is yet another option and a guarantee of good night sleep.

 Most Importantly

Laugh it out. Happy people are beautiful people and nothing can keep you healthy as keeping the stress at bay can! Bengali women, regardless of what she chooses to be – a homemaker or a career-oriented woman, she still needs to juggle around responsibilities which can be daunting at times. Maintain a tight circle of friends who would keep you beautiful inside out.
